Ric Mathis

Ric Mathis has worked for the Department of Health, Bureau of Community Environmental Health, since April 1998 to coordinate, monitor, and manage the Food Hygiene Program. He develops training, rule and law interpretation, and evaluates the county health department inspection programs and provides technical expertise related to food hygiene. He also develops public informational resource documents and maintains the Food Coordinator program for the department. Ric promulgates revision to the Food Hygiene Rule as necessary and provides public information regarding food hygiene. Prior to his time with this Bureau, he worked for three years in the Bureau of Water and Onsite Sewage and four years for the Orange and Osceola County Health Departments. He holds a bachelor's of science degree in Zoology from the University of Florida.
